Romantic versus Sexual Orientation

Asexuals and to a similar extent, Bisexuals talk about the concept of romantic attraction. Many people assume that romantic attraction is the same thing as sexual attraction, but this is one of the ideas about love and romance that the Asexual community is trying to challenge. Many Asexuals do want to have romantic adventures. When they do, they focus their attention on the opposite sex, the same sex or both. This brings rise to the labels homoromantic, biromantic and heteroromantic.

The idea of romantic attraction has led to the creation of several Asexual dating sites. The most successful dating sites for Asexuals has been Acebook, but none have achieved the level of success of many gay and lesbian dating sites.
