Homoromantic Asexuals

A Homoromantic Asexual is someone who is attracted to the same sex in a romantic sense. A male Asexual who has romantic attraction to other men may describe himself as gay in addition to being Asexual. A female Asexual who experiences romantic attraction towards women may describe herself as a lesbian. One of the older Asexual forums that operates outside of AVEN is called Asexual Lesbians). Both of the example fit the label of homoromantic.

Although there is controversy over whether or not Homoromantics, Biromantics and Transgendered Asexuals will fit into the LGBT spectrum without generating any controversy. The distinction between romantic and sexual orientation may confuse someone who is encountering the concept of Asexuality for the first time, but the terms are easy to navigate.
