Acephobia

Acephobia and Asexophobia are the Asexual equivalents of Homophobia. Although neither of these words have gained any official recognition outside of the Asexual community, the words are easy enough to dissect. The terms refer to fear of Asexuals and Asexuality. Examples of this can be found, although the term itself is somewhat misleading. Even people who use the term homophobia are often refer to acts motivated by hatred.

Can A Person Become Asexual?

There seems to be a perception that Asexuality is inborn-that one is born Asexual and stays that way for life. However, that is not always the case, there are Asexuals who were previously sexual and sexuals who were previously Asexual.  Sexuality is fluid for some people*.

Repulsed Asexuals

A person who comes to an Asexual site for the first time may find the word sex-repulsed used. Asexuals often use this word with the implicit understanding that the other party will understand what it means. It does not take long for a person familiar with the roots of the language to figure it out. It is someone who finds sex and related acts repulsive.
