After posting Are Asexuals immature? The author realized that it may come off as Asexual = Member of Orwell's Anti Sex League. So, is being Asexual the same thing as being anti sex? As with the Asexuals & immaturity article, the answer is generally no. Although, of course, there might be some Asexuals who are on an anti sex crusade, perhaps as a reaction to/rebellion against the hyper sexed society we live in. However, chances are, most Asexuals (this author included), don't care if anyone else has sex, just as long as they're left out of it.

No. Granted, some Asexuals may be repulsed by the mere idea of sex, but just being grossed out by sex doesn't necessarily make an Asexual immature. Though there are undoubtedly some Asexuals who are immature, but then, there's also sexuals who are immature. As Mira Sorvino (Romy) said in Romy & Michele's High School Reunion, "Just the thought of having sex with another creeps me out". Would Romy be 'immature', for being creeped by the thought of having sex with another woman? If the answer to that is no, it's also the answer to whether Asexuals are immature.

On the rare times that human Asexuality comes up in conversation, there is one question that will get asked. “Do Asexuals masturbate”? The person asking this question often thinks they have a clincher card to prove that Asexuality doesn't exist. Rather than cite the studies that prove Asexuals do masturbate at the same frequency as everyone else, there is a different issue to be addressed.

Yes and No. In other words, it's up to each individual Ace to decide for themselves whether they want to identify as Queer or not.
Publisher's Note: The LGBT section of the site exists because Asexuals identify as Biromantic and Homoromantic. Transgendered Asexuals also exist. The LGBT groups reached out to the fledgling Asexual community early in its history. This is for the sexuals out there who read this site. As well for Aces who haven't accepted their sexuality and/or think they need to be cured.
What Asexuality is
A lack of interest/desire in having sex.
A Sexual orientation where people are not attracted to either sex is the broader definition used by AVEN.
What it isn't:
A disorder that needs to be 'cured'.
A Mask for Homosexuality
An Excuse for not dating someone
