Chateau Heartiste, a popular word press blog, decided to respond to the BBC documentary How Sex Works by insulting the Asexual woman and her boyfriend who appeared in the episode. The Chateau Heartiste author believed that the male featured in the episode is a beta male who needs to find a more suitable partner. Heartiste does not define beta or alpha male, even though Heartiste continually berates the boyfriend for being beta.
“Maybe Jenni really is clinically Asexual. Maybe her brain is missing a few synapses. I can abide that possibility. Or maybe, she feels no sexual attraction because all she dates are betas. In which case, one date with an insensitive jerk who isn’t an uuuuunderstanding wet noodle should clear her condition right up”.
The idea that sex will cure a person's innate orientation is not new. People still believe that Heterosexual sex will cure gay and lesbians. Seeing Heterosexual sex as a corrective measure leads to unhappy marriages and corrective rapes. Finding someone who meats Heartiste's absurd standards of a real man will not change Jenni's orientation.
“Now perhaps there’s a chance Timmy is getting some nookie on the side, when he’s away from this sexless cipher. That would mitigate his betaness somewhat. (Only somewhat, because every second with her is a second stripped from more fulfilling endeavors). I doubt it, though. Look at his face. His pinched, “walk all over me” expression. This is a guy who nurses a secret hard-on every time she hugs him, then rushes home five hours later to drain himself into a couch crease. The least she could do, if sex isn’t her thing and she values his cuddly wuddlies, is give him a tug job to completion. But she never will, because, ultimately, chicks like her are selfish cunts. And when a selfish cunt meets a selfless dweeb, the penis loses”.
The ability to get laid is not how society determines what a true man, alpha or otherwise, is. The test is how they live their life. A real man takes responsibility fr his actions. Taking responsibility means not cheating on a sexual or romantic partner when a person makes a commitment.
Heartiste may not change his position. Many of the people who follow his blog certainly will not change their minds because Asexuals are challenging their deeply held notions. The community should expect this to happen more frequently now that they have formed their own communities. Heartiste is clearly uncomfortable with a new affront to his Heterosexuality.

This is the most offensive and acephobic article I've ever read, and I've read a lot of acephobic articles. As if the article itself wasn't bad enough, the comments are even worse. I am absolutely amazed this is not getting more attention. What is with all the acephobia lately, anyway? It just seems to be one bit of negative media attention after the next. These people need to just shut up already.
seriously, this stuff is not news. so some people don't like us or think we're legitimate, so what? i especially don't care what Pick-Up Artists think, which is clearly what this guy and his cronies are. not worth our time, guys. just some smelly troglodyte who's bitter because he can't get laid and his self-worth is tied up in the amount of sex he has.
Roissy never once advocated rape of asexuals. That's a strawman argument you built in order to slander a blogger you don't like and mark him for censorship. He said it's possible that this 'asexual' young woman might have no clue what she wants in a partner. He also mentions the likely possibility that any man who would 'date' her is wasting his time unless he too is an asexual. It's relieving to me that the asexual community has no method of reproduction, therefore ensuring their continued irrelevance. Enjoy your cats, bagladies.
I am an avid reader of Heartiste and I am here to say that our community is not this cesspool of antigay/ anti assexual people that you picture us to be. Roissy writes his opinion with a Game perspective. The Sexual dynamic is inherently part of the Game perspective. Saved for Aces, the Game perspective holds its water in describing the interpersonal relationships between Sexuals.
We don't see Assexuals nor assexuality as affronts to us at all. In fact, we like Male Aces. They pose no threat to us. Female Aces, on the other hand, are a little bit annoying to us. It's upsetting when we come across one. However, it's nothing big when there's plenty of Sexual women around.
Don't forget it, we are Sexuals- you guys are not. We don't compete against you for sexual resources.
