Internet Vlogger Attempts To Educate Jenni Goodchild About Asexuality

Jenni Goodchild was featured on the BBC's How Sex Works. Her boyfriend received negative attention on the Chateau Heartiste blog. This vlogger, who needs to go back to High school biology and learn that earthworms are Hermaphrodites who use sexual reproduction to produce new earthworms.

This video, while far tamer than the text of the Chateau Heartiste blog shows many common misconceptions about Asexuality. Misconceptions such as the ones expressed here will become more common as Asexuals become more visible.

cavemen will be cavemen Yes No This guy's attempts at dry humor went over like a lead balloon and his condescending attitude toward women marks him as an unreconstructed male chauvinist pig. Seriously, I think this guy is a troglodite and therefore uneducable.

...wow Yes No Yes, this guy is a terrible troll who makes offensive videos... and is probably raking in the dough doing it. He posted this video yesterday and it has just shy of 2,700 hits... and he's making money on the ads from every single one of those. While he's in the process of trolling aces he also makes ignorant comments about women in general and cis/trans terminology..... If we send a could hundred aces over to watch his video and leave angry comments (or worse, responses to the other ignorant comments) then people will be getting e-mails that responses have been posted to their comments etc and they'll click back to the video to respond again etc and even if they're just there to comment he's still going to get money for the ad that plays while they're doing it.

I think this is kind of a no-win situation for aces. He's just begging for us to start a war in that comments section and get people clicking back to his video a dozen times.

Yes No Oh, come on, this isn't news. Why are we giving people like this so much undeserved attention? Not to mention how it makes his revenue from those ads go up. Seriously, you guys, these people are not worth our time. They're disgusting, yes, and I hate how they spread their bile, but there are always going to be people like that in the world. They can't be reasoned with and shouldn't be silenced (freedom of speech and all), but we *can* ignore them, as any reasonable person should. That's really the only way to win with this kind of thing: just ignore it. Trying to fight back only feeds the flames and gives them power. Really, don't.

Sorry Yes No Admittedly, I only posted this because it appealed to my somewhat warped sense of humor. (That's why it's in Cake Recipes). The previous article I would have ignored if I had not seen that blog's Alexa rankings. The problem here is that this represents thinking that will become more prevalent and more common. The most recent House episode means things like this will become more common.

My guess is he will get no more than a few extra views from it being reposted here. The last sentence in the article did suggest people leaving comments on his video. This was not my intent, nor do I believe such behavior should be encouraged. I removed the sentence in question.

Yes No Oh..... I thought it was fucking hilarious. He obviously meant no harm, he was just brought up in a hetro-sexually based era, not his fault. He doesn't know any better.
