Queereka tackles 13 Common Myths about Asexuality

Queereka, recently tackled 13 common myths about Asexuality are once again being debunked. None of these objections to being Ace are anything new, however they have been, are and will continue for some time to be utilized in marginalizing Asexual persons.

This was written by Courtney and is her first article for the site. As mentioned before, these objections are not in any way, shape or form reinventing the wheel of Ace-bashing. Aces are unnatural due to procreation being important. Also not knowing for sure about ones Acehood due to never engaging in sex is listed as a myth, along with Asexuality precluding an individual from being in a relationship.

This is a multiple part article and the fifth and final myth in this part of the article is a compound claim that Aces are either repressed gays, straights who have no social skills or not old enough to understand the big picture of sexual preference.

I wanted to give an introduction to asexuality in case anyone following Queereka hadn't come across it before (the "13 Myths & Misconceptions" thing is a regular feature). My next articles will be more focused and hopefully bring something new to the (cake) table - hope you enjoy them!
