LGBTQ Firsts -- First Realizations of Asexuality

Asexuals know there was a time when they realized they were Asexual. Some people have always known, other people got into a fight with an editor about how not experiencing sexual attraction is not always a problem. The University of Bangor's LGBTQ club has developed a series of videos dealing with the experiences of Gender and Sexual Minorities.

Everyone's story is personal, and younger peopleĀ may find out they are wrong about their sexuality. It is simply part of growing up. Even if they find out they are not Asexual later, the word describes how they feel now. A person should not question someone else's identity. Figuring out someone's sexual orientation is part of personal growth and personal growth is often a painful process.
