Asexual media does not exist, or if it does exist, it is just in its early stages. If a larger Asexual media did exist, A Life Podcast panel member Henrik would like to see a fictional story featuring Asexuals. He thinks that Angela Tucker's documentary is a good start, but he wants to see a movie where Asexuality is one of the driving plot points. For Henrik, it is easy to jump on the microphone for an hour or two. The speaking part may be easy. Henrik lamented that he works on equipment that is more than ten years old to produce the show.

Vlad, like many people who came before her, realized that she was Asexual. She even used the term Asexual to describe herself long before the community came out. Vlad, who is slightly older than the founder of Asexual News encountered the problem that many Asexuals faced before the birth of the World Wide Web. Asexuals lacked a community before the birth of AVEN.

The A Life Podcast is the only Asexual podcast that is currently active. Unscrewed and Illuminated has not produced a podcast in recent weeks. Henrik Anttonen, a former member of AVEN's project team served as a panelist on the show since the beginning. The show currently features Vlad on a regular basis. Other panelists come and go over the years.

Vlad joined the A Life Podcast team after the original panelists announced the end of the show. Episode 22 returned a few weeks later with new panelists as if nothing happened. Vlad, who has a noted preference for silk, joined the cast during the second casting call.

The A Life Team records their shows once a week. The time the shows take can range from half an hour to two hours and they cover a variety of Asexual topics. For Henrik, the show is an outgrowth of his radio career. Although he currently lacks an employer, he has done many different radio shows. He sees podcasting as a natural extension.

A number of guests have come on the show over the years. The show has managed to host several guests, including AVEN founder David Jay. Vlad described the episode with David Jay as being 'the David Jay show'. Other guests have come on the program to talk about fetishes, dating and involvement outside of the community.
