Are You Ready for Aromantic Awesomeness Day?

December 3rd is Aromantic Awesomeness Day. Of course, we have stated this earlier. It was, in fact, the idea of one of the people who works for this site. Even though it was an idea of someone who works for this site, there is nothing to prevent other people from going out and celebrating it.

The name may not be great, stupid or outdated. The adjective an individual picks to describe it does not matter. The point is to increase recognition of Aromantics within the Asexual community and make sure their voices are heard. The statements that Romantics make about dating drown out the voices of the Aromantics who may not have an interest in dating. The desire not to be alone is sometimes confused with a Romantic interest. Many Asexuals, even Aromantics, fear dying alone. Some people, including vlogger Swankivy, are perfectly fine with living alone.

The celebrations of this day should include vlogging, pictures, making cakes if necessary. Then we can move onto some stranger day such as Sapioromantic Sunday. (Editor's note: Yeah right, as if we need another day to further divide ourselves by romantic orientation).
