Asexual Awareness Week becomes non-profit educational organization

Few Asexual organizations exist. Many people often think one organization is mistakenly connected to another. Asexual Awareness Week will become a recognized educational profit organization in the summer of 2011, according to Sara Beth Brooks. Many people have considered the effort to be connected to AVEN, although it has always been conducted by volunteers and operated outside of AVEN.

The change, announced in May, shows a growing and indeed positive trend in the Asexual community. AVEN has long been seen as the largest organization for Asexuals and the only voice for Asexuals as a whole. Although the event sponsored by AAW lasts only for a week each year, many people are engaging in projects which will require more help as the October deadline approaches. More importantly, AAW will engage in more real-world efforts than are currently offered by AVEN itself.

A (not so) recent Chatelaine article suggests that sex is healthy for you & will help you live longer. (But as Queen asked, who wants to live forever, or at least to age 90 or what have you)? Okay, granted, this author is most likely in the minority in regards to living longer. And it's this assumption, that everyone wants to live a long life, which prompted this author to write this in the first place, however, it'd be rather difficult to come up with a relevant title based on that.

Anyway, there are six reasons listed, which go into a tad too much detail for this author's liking, not because it's about sex, rather due to length, as you may have noticed this author's articles posted here tend to be quite short, more often than not.
