A basic human need, really?

A (not so) recent Chatelaine article suggests that sex is healthy for you & will help you live longer. (But as Queen asked, who wants to live forever, or at least to age 90 or what have you)? Okay, granted, this author is most likely in the minority in regards to living longer. And it's this assumption, that everyone wants to live a long life, which prompted this author to write this in the first place, however, it'd be rather difficult to come up with a relevant title based on that.

Anyway, there are six reasons listed, which go into a tad too much detail for this author's liking, not because it's about sex, rather due to length, as you may have noticed this author's articles posted here tend to be quite short, more often than not.

Generation Y and our attitude towards sex

After having read the New York Time's article linked to in a previous article posted here, the author found a related article. pajamasmedia.com/lifestyle/2011/07/13/mila-kunis-on-casual-sex/

The article does a better job of summing up this author's attitude toward sex than the NYT article, there is, however, something this author takes issue with.

Notion that Asexuals are against 'sexual liberation' propogated through improper language usage

If  there is one trend that seems to be confused lately, it is the trend of feminists who are Baby Boomers are not having enough sex. (Note: the author may be a little confused about what this trend actually is). The notion that Asexuality is opposed to Sex-positive Feminism is just as ridiculous as the notion that Asexuals are Anti-sex or that male Asexuals do not exist. Older Feminists are concerned about young women not having enough sex. When they are not concerned about young women not having enough sex, they are concerned about the women who are, are doing it wrong.

As Erica Jong tried to point out, the Baby Boomer generation did not invent sexuality. She called sex passe and seems to think that young women have turned toward nostalgic attitudes of monogamous relationships that were common in the 1950s.
