New Doctor Who episodes will be filmed in Wales. Many episodes of the popular show were already filmed largely in Wales. New episodes will be filmed in a new studio. The BBC promised to expand television production in Wales in 2008.

Roath Lock studios provides a home for two other dramas. Casualty and Pobol y Cwm crews will work out of the new studios. Moving the Doctor Who studios should not disrupt the production schedule for any of the shows. Asexuals who need to get their weekly Doctor Who fix will not need to resort to using Netflix.
