Tomb of the Cybermen Released on DVD

A number of old Doctor Who releases have made their way to DVD. BBC Worldwide sent the Tomb of the Cybermen out into the universe last week. The cyborg villains, who were created in an alternate universe, returned to the Doctor's universe when the reboot of the long-running science fiction show aired.

Fans of the Doctor probably already know how the episode goes. The Doctor and his companions Victoria and Jamie go on a peaceful mountain climbing expedition. Trouble has a way of finding the Doctor wherever he goes. It is not long before a suspicious looking rock warns the Doctor and his companions that the cybermen have returned.

New DVD releases come shortly after the announcement of a Doctor Who MMO and the announcement that the BBC would open its archives to let users download shows directly from the Internet. Netflix users can also find many of the older serials on the popular streaming service.
