Tom Baker Can Neither Confirm Nor Deny A Planned Return to Doctor Who

Tom Baker claims that his role as the fourth doctor killed his career as a serious actor. He had declined to return to the series in a 20th anniversary special, but fans of the fourth doctor and his trademark scarf may see him on screen again for the 50th anniversary of the show.

Baker made his comments to the Independent newspaper.  He has had small appearances in othr films, including the Dungeons and Dragons movie. The aging actor may return with other still living doctors when the anniversary special is filmed.

Although Baker did not rule out the return, he did not confirm it either. Moffat has not given any indication about what he has planned. The writer and producer has only confirmed that something is indeed planned for the special.
