Benedict Cumberbatch, Lara Pulver Up For Critics' Choice Awards

Mad Men, Community, and Deeley have done well in the Critics' Choice Awards. Although the Critics' Choice Awards are sponsored by an association based in the United States, several British actors have done well. Benedict Cumberbatch and Lara Pulver have been nominated for the best actor and best actress role in a miniseries.

Pulver played Irene Adler in season 2 of the BBC's Sherlock. Fans know the miniseries ended with an episode called the Reichenbach fall. Sherlockians have speculated what the relationship with Adler on the show means, but the same question has been asked since Doyle wrote his original stories.

The Critics' Choice awards were intended to be a forerunner to the more popular and longer-running Emmy awards. Winners at one show do not not always win at the other award show.
