Skins, a teen drama that originally aired in the UK follows a series of teenagers living a lifestyle that many people would describe as partying hard. Sexual plots are woven into the plot. All of this makes it seem unlikely that such a show would get a mention on a website catering to Asexuals, yet Skins has entered into a territory which few other shows have dared.
The Skins character Frankie is an adrogynous female who shows little to no interest in sex. When asked about her preferences she shrugs them off or ignores them. Without knowing the intent of the writers, it is possible Skins may have provided the United Kingdom its first Asexual character on television.
Frankie's Asexual state will remain a matter of speculation. If the character does not follow sex or persue relationships, the series will follow the model already set by the Big Bang Theory, although the character has said she is “into people.” Frankie has denied being a lesbian or bisexual in previous episodes.
Tracking down episodes in the United States has been difficult, but Netflix shows the series and MTV shows a US version of the series.
