Article on Asexuality in Marie Claire

The article is from a year ago, but hasn't been posted about, here before. www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/relationship-issues/articles/new-asexual-movement.

(Publisher's Note: The Marie Claire Article appeared in the summer of 2010. Asexual News opened its doors in February of 2011).

The article starts out fine, talking about how Sarah Beth Brooks realized that she's Asexual. Then the article mentions Twilight & abstience. (Instead of quoting bits and pieces of the article, the author has decided to just describe the article, as you can read the whole article linked above if you want to know exactly what it says, word for word). It also mentions, in the same paragraph, that Asexuality is not just feeling 'meh' about sex, it's a movement.

The problem with the article is the following: "That there are autism and hormone related conditions that are associated with lack of interest in sex'. Oh right, like there no sexuals with autism or other psychological conditions for that matter. But because lack of interest in sex is not considered normal, it must mean that anyone who's not interested in sex must have something wrong with them. Just like not having or wanting children isn't considered nornal so therefore, there has to be something wrong with those of us who don't want children.
