As many Disney fans will be aware the new Winnie the Pooh movie just came out. Jim Cummings, a voice actor with a stunning portfolio currently voices Pooh Bear, but must not forget the original voice to the bear of very little brain: Sterling Holloway.
One of the many characters Holloway portrayed over the years was Waldo Binney in "The Life of Riley". Waldo first appeared in the episode "Riley the Worrier" as a new neighbor to the show's protagonist. During the span of the series, we see more of Waldo's quirky mannerisms. His many interests included his pet Chihuahua dog, looking at flowers in gardens and learning astronomy at the planetarium.
Waldo's personality reflected much the traits of a romantically inclined Asexual. Millicent was the woman to whom he passionately obsessed over. But he is clearly reluctant to the thought of being married. Interesting trivia: Waldo's mother was in fact played by no other than Sterling Holloway!
Nevertheless, here's a wise quote from the show which is deeply profound to Asexual love:
“You don't have to say anything. If you're in love, just looking the other person is enough.” ~ Drake, Waldo's cake-avid nephew (from the episode “Love Comes to Waldo Binney”).
