Doctor Who season resumes August 27th

American Doctor Who fans will soon be able to get their fix of this popular, quirky and long-running British science fiction series. The series was filmed outside of British soil for the first time. Matthew Smith will continue playing the doctor through the next season.

The first six episodes of the season ended with the words, “Let’s Kill Hitler” .The first episode of the second half of the season will start on August 27th. Doctor Who's reboot has enjoyed unusually high ratings on BBC America.

Steven Moffat, the writer and producer of Doctor Who and Sherlock, said that everyone on the show is opposed to Hitler. Several prominent websites have repeated the statement about the upcoming episode.

The show often explores the themes that time travel has unintended consequences. The first episode of the second half of the current season will give the Doctor and his fans the chance to explore this moral issue. The time traveler will come face to face with one of history’s greatest dictators.

Moffat promises that the current season will come to a satisfying conclusion, although he is not sure that all of the loose ends left through Matthew Smith’s run as the doctor will be resolved.
