Cumberbatch Says He Plays Slightly Asexual, Sociopathic Individuals

Benedict Cumberbatch is not a name known to most Americans, but fans of the British series Sherlock will know who he is. The star has had several roles and had a part in Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy. Asexuals believe that Doyle's most famous creation is Asexual. The author's statement that romance is out of character for Holmes backs up this theory.

Benedict Cumberbatch, however, is worried that he may be typecast as a slightly Asexual, sociopathic intellectual. Unfortunately for Cumberbatch, the character of Holmes is seen as just more than slightly Asexual. Holmes has been seen as anything other than straight for many years. Many people look at his relationship with Watson as proof that the character was homosexual, but there is even less proof of Holmes's homosexuality than there is for his Asexuality.
