Sheldon warns Leonard, Amy is not for him. Will the Big Bang Theory producers keep Sheldon's Asexuality intact?

Fans of the Big Bang theory found a reason to be disappointed with Sheldon Cooper last night. A long running joke throughout the show is that Sheldon simply 'has no deal'. The lack of a deal has caused many Asexuals to assume the Sheldon is Ace. Other people, who do not understand that people with Asperger's Syndrome are not automatically Asexual have suggested that his Asexuality is a result of Asperger's, rather than him simply not being interested in the oldest dance.

Sheldon remained in the background during this episode. The plot of the episode involved Leonard taking Amy to a dance. The dance involved many social awkward interactions and ended up with two very unusual interpretations of the events. Amy told Penny that Leonard had fallen in love wither her after the date was over. Leonard, who had suffered an unfortunate Hokey Pokey accident, told Sheldon that his groin was worse for wear after dating Amy. After a brief act of violence, Sheldon reveals that he became violent because Amy was not for Leonard.

REM split up at the end of September. The news has little to no impact on the Asexual community, and it only makes any appearance here at all because a writer for the telegraph described Michael Stipe as Asexual in an single, ambiguous sentence.

“They came out of Athens, Georgia, an off-beat, poetic ensemble with folk leanings and pop sensibilities, fronted by a strange Asexual singer with a goatee beard and a way with cryptic lyrics”. wrote Telegraph reporter Neil McCormick on September 21st. Michael Stipe, the lead singer of the rock band with a 31-year history, described himself as an equal opportunity lech for many years. The claim led many people to speculate that Stipe was bisexual.
