Benedict Cumberbatch may never solve the mystery of why he is popular with women. It is no mystery that the show he is best known for won a Critic's Choice Award. Moffat and Gatiss's modern-day adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes stories won the best mini-series award.

Lara Pulver will not appear in Doctor Who. The actress, who played Irene Adler, in Sherlock recently denied any rumors that she would become the first female doctor. Doctor Who, which is one of the shows produced by Steven Moffat, will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.
Rumors about Pulver playing the Doctor started when the actress spent time in Wales. Pulver claims that members of the press started the rumors because of her previous work with the writer and producer. Members of the media have asked Pulver if she wanted to play the doctor before. Her answer, which was yes and no, may not have pleased the fans entirely but she had good reasons for not wanting the role.

Elementary, the American modern-day adaptation of Sherlock Holmes airs in September. American fans will judge the show on its own merits, even if they realize it was an idea taken from a BBC series. There has been interest in how the shows will differentiate from each other. There has not been much interest, at least in the US, about what Steven Moffat thinks of the show.

Mad Men, Community, and Deeley have done well in the Critics' Choice Awards. Although the Critics' Choice Awards are sponsored by an association based in the United States, several British actors have done well.
