Fans of Doctor Who and other BBC shows can download their favorite works through iTunes. Apple charges a small fee for the service, but the network needed to pay a small fee to Apple for each item downloaded. Mark Thompson, the general director of the BBC has decided to allow users to download their favorite programs from the archives. Users will have to pay a fee to use the services, just as they would have to pay to download the episodes from iTunes.
Netflix users and other license content holders will still be able to access their services. Aces who rely on Netflix to watch Doctor Who and Sherlock reruns will not see an interruption. The popular streaming service has not yet added Series 2 of Sherlock, but it should sometime in the near future.
