Boulder Valley Womens' Health Clinic To Offer Services to Transgender Patients

The Boulder Women's Valley Health Clinic will offer services, including Hormone Replacement Therapy, to Transgender Patients. Susan Levy, the director of the clinic, believes it is a natural extension to the current purpose of the site, according to NECN.com.

Transgender individuals, particularly those who live in small towns or rural areas have to travel hundreds of miles or find local doctors who are willing to treat them. Finding local doctors can be problematic in areas that are more socially conservative. High gas prices make the long travel times difficult for some patients. The opening of the new center will reduce the travel costs for many of the area's patients.

The Boulder Valley Health Clinic already provides services to patients who have difficulty accessing other forms of health care.
