Just a Bit Radical to Focus on LGBT, Questioning, Intersex and Asexual Youth

New LGBT magazines seldom make news. Even magazines that cater to the under 30 LGBT crowed specifically are hard to find. Many of the Gay publications are not shy about using adult references that are inappropriate for teenagers.

Just a Bit Radical aims to correct this oversight. The magazine, unlike many other publications designed to target Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender consumers has included more fringe groups in its target market. Articles feature topics of interest to people who are Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual.

Catherine Oliver announced the birth of the magazine through the Huffington Post Gay Voices blog. The founders want to help combat the rising rate of Teen Suicides. Transgender identified individuals are 50 percent more likely to commit suicide than the general population.

The magazine plans to launch soon, but like many publications, it needs to raise funds before it can begin full publication. The kickstarter campaign page contains more information about the goals of the magazine, the staff involved, and information about the types of stories the magazine intends to publish.
