Sophie M. Herold Ramps Up Homophobic Campaign

Tumblr and YouTube have deleted multiple accounts of a blogger named Sophie M. Herold. This Blogger and Vlogger claiming to be from Germany, has engaged in homophobic rants and attempted to out members of the LGBT community. Asexuals have not been a target of the woman's crusade, although Asexuals who identify as Homoromantic, Biromantic, or Transgender may find that they have become a target of the woman's crusade.

Although Tumblr and YouTube yanked her accounts when they discovered them, the woman has launched a new effort in her attempts to out people who fall on the LGBT spectrum. Her latest efforts are far more sinister than someone who has trolled Tumblr. The owner of the blog is colllecting the names and addresses of LGBT people and collected them into the database. People have been kicked out of their homes and lost the jobs because of her information.

Because her YouTube and Tumblr accounts are deleted as soon as the sites discover her blogs or accounts, it is hard to get quotes from her blogs directly. Several Tumblr users have posted a screenshot where Herold threatens to forward the namess of Gay and Lesbian parents she collected into a database.

Tumblr and YouTube trolls are not a new phenemenon. Herold's motivations may be exactly what she claims they are. Even if her intentions are to provoke an emotional response, she has gone too far in encouraging criminal activity.

“I’m not afraid of you Gay people. I will fight you as long as I can. I know that by putting me out there I will be harassed and threatened. That is the price I have to pay for telling the truth about Gay people. But I am not afraid of being physically harmed or killed. You may break my bones, but you can’t change the facts: That Homosexuality is abnormal and disgusting,” Polari.com claims she wrote in one blog.

She also repeats calls for repentence and suggests that Homosexuals learn to discipline their minds in order to engage in behavior that she deems proper.

Her blogs and YouTube videos have even been a subject of a change.org petition. The petition failed to get the required number of signatures before it closed.
