A number of Fundamentalist Christian preachers have engaged in virulent anti-Gay rhetoric in the past few weeks. Two pastors called for Gays to be put to death, and one suggested putting Gays and Lesbians in a fenced-in enclosure to remove them from the population. A toddler at a Greensburg, Indiana church went a step further. The young child went up to the microphone and sang an extremely anti-Gay song in front of the congregation.
An anonymous YouTube user posted a video of the child singing the song in front of the congreation of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church. LGBT blogs quickly pickd up the story, and CNN reports that the church's voice mail was full.
The administration of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church responded to the video on its website. Neither the pastor nor the church itself apologized for the content of the video, but the statement said that no member of the church condones hatred. A belief in a strong family as supported by the Bible was indicated in the same statement.
The words to the video posted above are:
I know the Bible's right, somebody's wrong
I know the Bible's right, somebody's wrong
Romans One Twenty Six and Twenty Seven
Ain't No Homos Going to Heaven
The Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptist Convention issued a statement informing the public that the Greensburg church had left their organization two years ago, according to CNN.

YouTube's search engine tagged this as an Asexuality video, but it deals with issues of religion, spirituality and sexual orientation. Asexuals often have to decide for themselves whether their particular religion addresses Asexuality or not. Even if a particular religion does not address the topic, there are certainly people who think not marrying and having children goes against the teachings of their particular religion.

Marvel Comics, which is currently owned by the Disney Corporation, has introduced its first openly gay superhero. The comic book producer is behind Archie Comics and DC in this outfit, as DC has had Lesbian characters in its universe for many years. Archie Comics already produced an issue featuring a same-sex wedding. Northstar will come out as Gay in a comic issue to be released this June. He will also marry his partner in the June issue of the astonishing X-Men.
Marvel’s decision to feature a same-sex character has drawn criticism from the group One Million Moms. One Million Moms, a group which has ties to the American family association, has urged Marvel to cancel its upcoming production. The group put out a statement accusing the comic book writers and artist of trying to encourage young people into accepting Homosexual lifestyles.

A new Ontario law would prevent schools from vetoing the name of student clubs. Opponents of the law say that it makes religious freedom a second-class right in Canada. Unlike similar laws in the United States, religious schools were not offered an exemption.
Under the old rules, schools had the final say about what students could name their clubs. Many Catholic schools did not allow students to name their schools Gay-Straight Alliances. Such anti-homophobia clubs are common.

A Japanese neutrois recently had a penis and testicles removed. The Associated Press picked up the story because the person in question cooked them and served them to guests at their place of business. (A reader who wants to read the details of the story can follow the source link). AP’s author describes the individual as Asexual. This usage of Asexual underlies the need for the organization that publishes the stylebook journalists use most frequently to define how the term Asexual should be used.
