February is LGBT History Month in the United Kingdom

United States residents have their own LGBT history month, but February serves the purpose in the United Kingdom. The theme for this year's UK LGBT pride month is Homophobia in Sport. The month raises awareness of contributions made by British Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender citizens.

Author Don Fulsom Speculates Nixon may Have Been Gay

Richard Nixon, despite his success in building a diplomatic relationship with China is still one of the most disliked presidents of the 20th century. As with other figures who are now too dead to either confirm or deny rumors regarding their sexuality, an author speculates that Nixon might have been gay.

New allegations about Nixon's sexuality are made in a new book by Don Fulsom. Fulsom covered the White House for many years. His career as a radio reporter covering the White House ended during the Clinton administration.

The rumor started in a book by Irish writer Anthony Summers. The accusations center around a story told by Bonnie Angelo. Angelo said she saw former President Nixon pull Charles Rebozo into a picture, according to the Washington Post.

Keith Ablow Accuses British Parents of Abuse for Not Raising Child With Gendered Stereotypes

Doctor Keith Ablow drew criticism over his reaction fo Chaz Bono's appearance of Dancing with the Stars. The doctor resigned from the American Psychiatric Association because of the controversy his comments about Chaz Bono  generated. He made similar comments on the Howard Stern's radio show. Ablow is a regular contributor to Fox News.

Ablow accused a set of British parents of child abuse for concealing the gender of a child until he was old enough to decide for himself. Ablow confuses biological sex with gender. Ablow called the decision of the parents worse than physical abuse. The doctor compared raising a child without gender preferences with forcing a child not to write with the right or left hand.

OutServe To Host Conference on LGBT Military Member Issues

OutServe, the Human Rights Campaign, the Courage Campaign and the Service members Legal Defense Network will meet for a conference on May 14th and 15th. The conference, the first of its type, will focus on the needs of military service members and their same-sex partners.

Detroit Couple Sues Michigan Over Same-Sex Couple Adoption Rules

April DeBoer and Janye Rowse are busy raising three children. The two women are nurses and partners. Rowse and DeBoer have lived together for many years. The three children and their mothers live in a suburb of Detroit. Even though the couple and their children have lived together for many years, the couple cannot legally adopt children.
