Asexual Caucus To Be Held at NUS LGBT Conference

The NUS LGBT Conference starts tomorrow. Asexuals have attempted to become part of the NUS LGBT student union on local levels, but the Asexuals are usually voted down on the grounds that they are not gay. NUS lets each individual chapter make the decision to accept or reject people on a local level, according to an e-mail received by Asexual News.

Tumblr user Demi Lesbian and several users on the AVEN forums have tried to bring Asexuality into the national student group with limited success. Asexual News received a submission from Demi Lesbian via its Tumblr site earlier today. Volunteers are needed to help hand out pamphlets in the Asexuality caucus.

Requests for more information have not yet been returned, although people seeking more information can find it on her Tumblr blog. Information about the conference itself is found on the Visibility and Education Projects forum on Asexuality.org.
