AVEN Offers New Backup Message Board

The Asexual community relied on a single website for many years. When that website went down, there were few alternatives available. More Internet resources were created eventually, but few of them offered a message board and chat function. AVEN administrators set up a back up of their main board. Users can access it when the main website's servers go down. Amcan, a message board administrator, made the announcement Sunday.

The board replaces AVENites United, a temporary board that allowed AVEN users to communicate during downtime. The new service backs up the main board's content, but the administrators did not transfer the user database to the backup site.

Users need to set up their own accounts to use the backup forum. Amcan did not mention synchronization between the two message boards.
