AVEN Offers New Backup Message Board

The Asexual community relied on a single website for many years. When that website went down, there were few alternatives available. More Internet resources were created eventually, but few of them offered a message board and chat function. AVEN administrators set up a back up of their main board. Users can access it when the main website's servers go down. Amcan, a message board administrator, made the announcement Sunday.

AVEN members participated in Worldpride 2012 in London. A British film maker released a short documentary about the AVEN's participation in the event. The video debuted at Goldsmithe University's Rendering Reality Program.

Biggest Little Podcast Addresses Asexuality and Kinks

Asexuals often say that some Aces are kinky, but they never go in to in-depth discussions on the topic. The Biggest Little Podcast, which is dedicated to a specific fetish, addressed the topic by interviewing an Asexual couple that engages in age play.

Asexuality Archives Offers Asexual Questionnaires

Surveys that target the Asexual community often serve some research purpose. A new series of surveys does not have any academic purpose. The questionnaire series is found on the Asexuality Archive website.
The owner of the website, who goes by the alias Redbeard Ace, created the website to provide additional Asexuality resources. The author has developed several different versions.
“I want to try to produce a rich picture of what it means to be Asexual, to explore Asexuality in its own words,” the author wrote on Asexuality Archives. The author goes on to say that the work was inspired by the Hite Report.

Asexuals have eagerly waited for the release of Anthony F. Boegart’s new book, Understanding Asexuality. The book is one of the first books to look at the academic issues surrounding Asexuality exclusively. Other books from academic sources have touched upon the subject, but they are often taking an in-depth look at other topics.
