Worldpride takes place every two years. The 2012 celebration will be held in London. Michaeld, the AVEN UK Media contact, and other Asexuals living in the United Kingdom are finalizing their plans to participate in Worldpride 2012 this July. The Asexual Visibility and Education Network’s project team put out a call for banners. Banner submissions must include a graphical element, a reference to the organization and they may include a witty slogan.
Lax submission rules allow people with little or no artistic skill to participate in the submission process. If someone does not have a graphical banner, they can describe their idea in words. AVEN’s world pride contingent will march in the parade in June.
Anyone who wishes to submit their own banner design or idea can find out more by clicking on the source link. Celebrations begin on July 7.

The NUS LGBT Conference starts tomorrow. Asexuals have attempted to become part of the NUS LGBT student union on local levels, but the Asexuals are usually voted down on the grounds that they are not gay. NUS lets each individual chapter make the decision to accept or reject people on a local level, according to an e-mail received by Asexual News.
