March 14 marks Sweet Asexy Love Day. David Jay, the founder of AVEN launched the day almost a year ago. The day, which is not necessarily about Romantic relationships, gives Asexuals a chance to show off the relationships that are important to them.
People who participated in last year's event posted pictures of the relationships that were important to them. The pictures could have been with a significant other, a beloved pet or a picture of someone engaging in their favorite hobby. The focus of SALD is not on romantic love, but some people do see it as an Asexual Valentine's Day.

“The book presents current research focusing on sexual minorities. It discusses topics that include Gay and Lesbian parenthood; Asexuality; media representations of trebly marginalized minorities; the effect of imaged contact on Heterosexual women's attitudes toward Lesbian women; and, the high-school experiences of sexual and gender minority youth and best practices in the development of interventions designed to attenuate homonegativity,” reads a brief blurb for the book on Amazon.com.
