DSM-5 Dangerous Says Reuters Report

The British Psychological Society and a division of the American Psychological Association have condemned the new edition of the DSM. Psychologists fear the new edition of the book pathologizes a wide array of normal human behaviors. Psychiatrists, psychologists and other mental health professionals called the expansion of diagnoses silly and at worst dangerous, according to a Reuters’s news report.

Reuters did not name the organizations specifically, although the story quotes a number of psychologists who have taken issue with the way the new book is being developed. Peter Kinderman, of the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Psychology revealed part of the problem many Asexuals have with SIAD and HSDD.

Asexual Montreal To Present Asexuality Workshop on March 6

Warren Huarrd will present a presentation an Asexuality on March 6 at McGill University. Huarrd is working with Asexual Montreal and the Sexuality and Kink Advocacy group to raise awareness of Asexuality. The presentation will be held at Burnside Hall Room 512 at 5 pm on March 6.
