The British Psychological Society and a division of the American Psychological Association have condemned the new edition of the DSM. Psychologists fear the new edition of the book pathologizes a wide array of normal human behaviors. Reuters did not name the organizations specifically, although the story quotes a number of psychologists who have taken issue with the way the new book is being developed. Peter Kinderman, of the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Psychology revealed part of the problem many Asexuals have with SIAD and HSDD.
